Chapter-64 I want us!

“Once I return, I’ll be heading for the war.”

The lightness in her eyes faded almost instantly, replaced by a look of concern. The room felt heavier, the easy banter and smiles from just moments before evaporating as the seriousness of the situation took hold.

She looked at me, her voice soft, barely above a whisper. "War?"

I nodded, feeling the shift between us, the gravity of what that word meant. “It’s not something I can avoid. Duty calls.”

For a moment, neither of us said anything. The silence was thick, filled with unspoken fears and emotions.

She turned away, pretending to focus on the empty walls, but I could see her hands trembling slightly.

I moved closer, gently taking her hand in mine. “I’ll be careful,” I whispered. “You know I have to go, but I’ll come back... to you.”

She tried to pull away, but as she shifted, a sudden surge of pain shot through her ankle, making her wince. Her face tightened, and she instinctively grabbed onto the side table for support.

I immediately leaned closer, concern flooding my voice. “Sunflower aaram se.” I gently placed my hand on her shoulder, guiding her to sit back down.

She let out a frustrated sigh, rubbing her ankle gently. She met my gaze, the pain in her ankle mirroring the uncertainty in her eyes. "I just... I don’t want to think about you being out there."

The room was silent now, no longer filled with laughter but with the weight of a future that felt uncertain.

Yet in that moment, sitting with her, I knew that no matter what came, we’d face it together—even if miles apart.

She sat there, her expression torn between pain and worry, as if the physical ache in her ankle mirrored something deeper—something neither of us wanted to confront but couldn’t avoid any longer.

I could feel the distance creeping in between us, even as I settled beside her, holding her hand.

“I just don’t want to think about you being out there,” she said again, her voice quieter this time, like admitting it made the situation more real.

Her eyes searched mine, as if hoping I could somehow change the inevitable. I squeezed her hand tighter, wishing I could offer her more than just words.

“I know,” I said, my voice soft but firm. “But you know I have to go. This is what I signed up for, what we both knew could happen.”

She blinked, looking away for a moment, staring at the walls as if they could give her the strength to hold back the tears. “I thought I would be ready,” she whispered, barely audible. “I knew it was coming. But now that it’s real… it feels different.”

I gently cupped her face in my hands, turning her to face me again. “It’s okay to be scared. But you’ve always been strong. You’ve been with me through everything—this is just another part of it.”

Her eyes softened, glistening with unshed tears as she looked up at me. “What if... what if something happens, and you don’t come back?”

I felt a lump form in my throat, but I forced a reassuring smile. “I will come back. I promise you that.”

She let out a shaky breath, leaning her forehead against my chest, her body trembling slightly. I wrapped my arms around her, holding her as tightly as I could, wishing I could take away the fear that gripped her heart.

For a few moments, we stayed like that, her against me, the quietness of the room settling around us. The weight of the future loomed large, but in that moment, it was just us—two people trying to hold onto each other in the midst of uncertainty.

Finally, she pulled back, her face still serious, but there was a flicker of resolve in her eyes. “Just promise me you’ll be careful,” she said softly.

“Promise me you’ll do everything you can to come back.”

I nodded, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “I promise. I’ll come back to you, Vayush will always come back to her Sunflower!”

As we lay there in the quiet, the soft hum of the night surrounding us, I could feel her heart beating in sync with mine. I tilted my head slightly, resting my chin on the top of hers, breathing in the scent of her hair, and a sense of calm washed over me.

Her fingers continued their slow tracing along my arm, and I felt a surge of affection swell inside me. I shifted slightly so I could see her face, and she looked up at me, her eyes soft and full of emotion.

I cupped her cheek with my hand, my thumb brushing lightly over her skin. “You’ve always been my reason to keep going, Sunflower! And now I need your support!” I said softly, leaning down and pressing a kiss to her forehead.

She shifted closer, her body melting into mine, and I could feel the warmth of her breath on my neck. Slowly, I tilted her face upward, and our eyes met again—those beautiful eyes that had seen me through every triumph, every doubt, and now, through this uncertain future.

I lowered my lips to hers, and when we kissed, it was slow, deep, and filled with the kind of love that no words could ever truly express.

It was soft, yet full of unspoken promises that even through the hardest of times, we would find our way back to each other.

When we finally pulled apart, she rested her forehead against mine, her breath shaky. “I don’t want you to go,” she whispered, her voice barely audible in the stillness of the room.

I pressed a kiss to the tip of her nose, trying to hold back the ache in my chest. “You’re the only reason I want to come back!”

I could feel her heartbeat quicken against my chest as our fingers intertwined, the simple act sending sparks through me. Leaning down, I brushed my lips against her forehead, then slowly made my way down to her lips, savouring the sweetness of her mouth.

The kiss was soft at first, but it quickly deepened as the passion that had been simmering between us broke free. I felt her respond, her body pressing closer, inviting me to explore the warmth radiating from her.

My hands roamed gently along her back, tracing the contours of her body, pulling her even closer. She sighed softly, a sound that reverberated through me and ignited a fire in me.

I wanted to hold her, to feel every part of her against me, and in that moment, I knew I couldn’t hold back any longer. I shifted slightly, easing her onto her back, our lips still locked, as I settled beside her.

I broke the kiss for a brief moment to gaze into her eyes, searching for any hint of hesitation, but all I saw was the warmth and longing reflected back at me. With a smile, I leaned in again, our lips crashing together.

As the kiss deepened, my hand found its way to her waist, fingers sliding beneath the fabric of her shirt.

I leaned down to her chest level, inhaling the fragrance. I caressed her chest over her cloth, my hands slowly trailing up to cup her breasts.

I could feel her breathing hitch slightly, but instead of pulling away, she leaned into me, encouraging my exploration.

With careful precision, I traced my fingers along her brassiere. I tucked my fingers in her straps, slowly pulling them down as her bosoms came into view.

I moved my face up, kissing her collarbone, neck up to her lips again as I captured them in a consuming kiss.

Her hands found their way to my hair, tugging gently as our kisses became more fervent. I could feel the heat radiating between us, and I knew we were crossing a threshold into something deeper.

Every brush of our bodies ignited a fire that burned hotter, pulling us closer together.

I pulled back for a moment, gazing into her eyes, which sparkled with a mix of affection and desire.

“Tell me what you want,” I urged, my voice barely above a whisper.

“I want you, Vayu” she breathed, her eyes locked onto mine, full of desire. “I want all of you.”

With a shared smile, I leaned down, capturing her lips again as I deepened the kiss, our bodies rubbed together as if drawn by an invisible force.

As I trailed my kisses down her body, capturing her buds in my mouth making her moan under her breaths.

Her hands travelled to my chest, her fingers working fastly to undo the buttons of my shirt. I lifted myself up, helping her as she pushed the shirt away from my skin.

Encouraged, I leaned down, kissing her again as my hands continued their journey, exploring the soft curves of her body.

I revelled in the sensation of her skin beneath my fingers, the way she melted against me, the soft sounds escaping her lips as I lost myself in the moment.

My hands traced the delicate curve of her waist, slipping to her inner thigh, feeling the warmth of her skin.

“Ahh, Vayu!” She moaned, inviting me to explore further, and I took my time, memorising every inch of her with my fingertips.

She gasped softly as I leaned down, my lips trailing kisses along her abdomen, then lower to the soft swell of her inner thigh my mouth grazing over her skin.

My hands travelled up to her waistline, gently running over her pantyline. I looked up, my actions stopping before my eyes met her.

With a gentle nod, she placed her hand over mine, directing it to act further.

“Please,” she whispered, her voice thick with longing, urging me on.

I continued kissing and nipping along her skin, savouring the sweetness of her gasps and sighs.

Slowly, I pulled down her shorts, followed by her panty making her all open in front of me. Pulling the duvet over us, I leaned in, capturing her lips again.

I could feel the soft beat of my heart, quickening with anticipation as I lay there, the warmth of his body comforting and familiar.

The room was dim, lit only by the soft glow of moonlight filtering through the curtains. It was as if the world had stilled, leaving just the two of us in this quiet, intimate moment.

He looked at me with such tenderness, his eyes filled with unspoken words.

“Are you okay?” he asked, pulling his head up, his voice soft and filled with concern.

I nodded, unable to speak for a moment, overwhelmed by the feeling of being so close to him.

“I am,” I whispered, my voice catching in my throat.

His eyes searched mine, still unsure, but I smiled gently, my hand sliding down to cup his cheek.

“I just want to make sure you’re okay,” he murmured, his voice thick with emotion.

“I am,” I reassured him, my heart swelling with affection. “Because I’m with you. And that’s all that matters.”

His breath seemed to hitch for a moment, and then, slowly, I saw the worry melt away. His hand came up to cover mine.

I could feel the warmth of his skin beneath my palm. He leaned into my touch, his lips close to my core as he closed his eyes.

I felt his lips down there as they worked over my core making me moan endlessly. My hands fisted around his hair, pulling him more close to myself as he continued his actions.

“Vayuu!” I squirmed, biting my lower lip in an attempt to control my voice.

Knot started forming into my stomach, my toes curling inward with the pleasure as he ate me. His hands continued kneading my breasts while his lips worked over my core.

“Lose it, Sunflower!” He said before attaching his lips again over my wet south, nibbling the skin with his teeth.

“Oh my god, Vayu!” I moaned loudly and in the next minute, I came undone badly. My breaths came in gasps as he came up, his hands cupped my cheeks.

He kissed my forehead, before standing up and leaving the room. I quietly watched his toned back, too exhausted to ask him anything.

He came back within a minute, with a glass of water in his hand. He settled beside me, helping me sit while covering me with the duvet properly.

“Le paani pii!” He said, forwarding me the glass of water.

I smiled, taking the glass from his hand and gulping the water down my throat. Once I was done, he took the glass away and kept it on the side table.

He turned around, his eyes searching mine before they roamed around the room. He bent sideways, picking up his shirt and wrapping it around me in an attempt to make me wear it.

Before he could do anything more, I held his hands stopping him in between.

He frowned a little, and raised his eyebrow in question. “I want you, Vayu!” I said my voice barely above a whisper.

He smiled softly, brushing a strand of hair from my face, his touch gentle and full of care.

“We don’t have to rush anything, Sunflower!” he said, his voice soothing, and in that moment, I knew how much he cared for me—not just physically, but emotionally, deeply.

“I know,” I murmured, feeling the warmth of his presence calming my racing heart. “But I want this. I want us.”

His gaze held mine, a silent conversation passing between us. In his eyes, I saw the same mix of emotions that swirled inside me—love, excitement, vulnerability.

He leaned in, his lips capturing mine in a kiss that was tender at first, slow and exploratory, as if he were savouring every second.

My hands found their way to his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart beneath my fingertips. The rhythm of his breathing matched mine, and with each kiss, I felt more at ease, more connected to him.

As he pulled back, our gazes locked, and I could see the warmth in his eyes, the shared understanding of everything we had overcome to reach this point.

“Are you sure you’re ready for this? I don't want us to do this because you're overwhelmed with the news of the war!” he asked, his voice filled with tenderness.

I nodded, my breath shaky with anticipation. “I need you Vayu! Please.”

“I’ve never been more ready for anything.” I whispered, my hands running over his chest.
